The title refers to the Scarab's testimony, as a pun on the idiom "sing like a canary".

Episode Connections[]

The Cosmic Owl is confirmed to be dead, which was first inferred in "The Bird in the Clock".
- Moreover, Fionna's previous worries about killing a deity in the aforementioned episode are validated in this one.
Scarab has seemingly been restored to his original form, which he had lost at the end of "Cheers".
Huntress Wizard uses the diamond ring that Fionna got from Venus Cantrix in the previous episode to cut through their holding cell.
It is revealed that Fionna-world's heart is found in the various roses.
Cake takes money from the production company after they fired her in "The Cat Who Tipped the Box".
