"The Cat Who Tipped the Box" is the fourth episode of the second season of Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake.^[1] It is the fourteenth episode overall.

Synopsis[]

While Cake explores a career in television, a heartbroken Fionna takes a walk down memory lane, and Huntress Wizard searches for a way home.

Trivia[]

The title refers to Cake knocking over the box containing the cast of Cheers.
Simon is shown to still be holding a grudge against the Scarab after the events of the previous season.
Huntress Wizard destroys Fionna's cellphone, severing her connection to the multiverse.

Episode Connections[]

Princess Bubblegum and the other princesses putting the gems of power into the Farmworld Enchiridion and destroying it to open the portal to Prismo's Time Room mirrors the process by which the Lich, Finn, and Jake accessed the Time Room in the episode, "The Lich".
The live audience during the filming of the Cheers episode chants "stretch, stretch, stretch", may be a callback to the Hot Dog Knights uttering the same chant in "The Limit".
Fionna's scream from "Cheers" is heard again in this episode.
Ice Thing and Turtle Princess return for the first time since "Come Along With Me". In addition, Ice Thing refers to Simon as "Daddy", possibly still seeing Simon as his caretaker since Simon (as the Ice King) took Gunter in.

Storyline Analysis[]

This is the first time Princess Bubblegum and Marceline meet Prismo.
This is the first time Fionna and Cake meet Huntress Wizard.
Prismo reveals to Princess Bubblegum, Marceline and Simon that he can't grant any wishes when they seek out his help in saving Finn from dying of the poison he took from Witch Wizard's attack in "Simon Petrikov", which partially explains why Prismo's face is glitching after the events of "Cheers".
