The bit where his arm mistakes what Finn says and repeats "Fatality" before destroying Fern, could that be a reference to Mortal Kombat fatalities or is that a stretch ?

- Pretty sure that word was used long before the Mortal Kombat games came out. It could be a reference since Finn destroyed Fern with his metal arm when it was in weed whacker mode. AquaSeashells

- Anything's a reference as long as you can explain how or why it is a reference. I don't remember the events in the episode but you could say something like "The use of 'Fatality!' after Fern was torn apart is a reference to the video game Mortal Kombat." the reference of Spartacus is wholly inaccurate. Jake states he had several of the vuvuelza, and then each of the characters claimed to have broken it..
