guyas y is PB one of the main characters of this episode if she only appeared in the begginning and most parts of the end.
In the show, there have been episodes that had the exact same name as a character (or in some cases, an object). Here is a list:
- Princess Monster Wife
- The Lich
- Finn the Human
- Jake the Dog
- James Baxter the Horse
- Heat Signature
- Susan Strong
- Heat Signature
- Gut Grinder
However, there seems to be inconsistancy - some episodes (Goliad, Princess Monster Wife, James Baxter the Horse) don't have the "— (episode)" suffix after them, while other (The Lich, Finn the Human, Jake the Dog, Donny,Susan Strong, Heat Signature, Gut Grinder) do.
There are two references in this episode to Princess Bubblegum's older family in this episode (her story about her great-uncle Bubblegum and the painting of her and her grandmother visible in the background). This brings up some points that might be worth discussing on the page, perhaps in a to-be-created "Storyline analysis" section. PB has been revealed in several episodes to be much older than she originally claimed (notably in the Season 5 episode "The Vault"). Also, the creature seen mutating from the melted gum in "Simon and Marcy" is agreed by most fans to be PB in some kind of gestative state.
- Did PB mutate from the gum all those centuries ago, then create herself family to be more like a "real person"? If so,what happened to them?
- Is the mutated gum creature not Bonnibel, but one of her ancestors? Perhaps the grandmother we see in the painting?
- Maybe multiple creatures mutated from the gum, and Bonnibel is the only one left?
Something to think about (and discuss)...
That actually was my intent, that's why I mentioned a possible "Storyline Analysis" section being added (as I've seen on other episode pages). But if you don't think that's a strong enough point to include on the page, fair enough.
Also, since posting this I saw (on the episode trivia for "Simon and Marcy") that apparently the game "Explore the Dungeon Because I DON'T KNOW" revealed the gum creature to be PB's parents. I was not aware of that at the time of this original post. TJCoolguy (talk) 10:57, June 8, 2015 (UTC)
