::::::::The premise of your statement about not being able to make noise in space is that Finn and Grob were both exposed to the vacuum of space (obviously, you can make noise in space if you are surrounded by air, such as in the ISS). That is speculation on your part. Also, whenever I see the word "unknown" (especially in trivia) it's a red flag for useless information and/or speculation. You can shove that word in anywhere to make a statement seem valid without actually committing to the idea. "It is unknown if Princess Bubblegum is actually in love with Finn, but can't admit to it because of her royal responsibilities." :::::::::So, wait, wouldn't this mean the beam from the Martian transporter may not even be by the transporter in the first place? If Grob Gob Glob Grod makes the same light when they are seen rocketing from Ooo, then it wouldn't make sense to assume the beam actually has to do with transporting on the Martian transporter, would it? Which would also mean there is no "shield" that is filled with air or anything? And would in fact mean that it makes no sense for Finn to be able to breathe and make noises in space? You ignored what I said about the beam of light having some connection in appearance in the first place. I know you are saying the aura is unimportant, but it seems like it is.

Revision as of 06:23, 1 October 2012

I was wondering if it was cool for me to add Glob as a character. I think we all know he'll be in this episode, but I'm perfectly cool if it's not OK. Mr.treetrunks 21:05, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

no, it is not ok because it has not been 100% confirmed yet. "StaraptorFear the DemonWeavile " 21:07, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, Grob Gob Glob Grod will be in this episode, but we don't add it until it is actually confirmed. Sky Monster 21:08, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

That is nice, since I looked at the schedule on Cartoonnetwork.com and saw that no new epsiode will air on that day. Looks like there will be at least one more week until this episode airs. --ShrubSkyKim 08:36, June 30, 2012 (UTC)

Admittedly, I was a little unsure about adding that info, but I think it might be fine to say that he may be reappearing. It does not seem that speculative, especially from what we saw, the deer looks just like him in every way. I even remember some trivia bits like this from past episode pages. --ShrubSkyKim 03:46, July 19, 2012 (UTC)

All deer look like other deer in almost every way; there really aren't many differences between deer. It still seems speculative to me.04:20, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
A few other deer have appeared in the show and they did not look the same. They were in "Storytelling" and "Thank You." --ShrubSkyKim 04:26, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
It would be speculative to include info on him. For this case, the Stag was completely different from the other deer. It is best not to include information on the Stag at this time. We need to see the episode to be sure. Right now... I'm only 20% sure that is the Stag. Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 04:29, July 19, 2012 (UTC)
Saying that he appears to be returning is not even speculation. And, like I said before, we have had trivia bits like this before. --ShrubSkyKim 04:14, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Interesting bit of info

I was taking a closer look at the title card, and I saw that not only are Grob Gob Glob Grod, Jake, and Magic Man's head carved into that rock, but Abraham Lincoln's is, too. Might this be trivia worthy info? It is pretty hard to notice him. --ShrubSkyKim 04:14, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Hm... you are right. I didn't even notice that... in the right corner. I think that would indeed be worth noting in the trivia because not everyone would think of that. Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 04:15, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
Alright. Would this go under episode connections since he appeared in past episodes? --ShrubSkyKim 04:22, July 22, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, I believe this would constitute as an episode connection since this makes his 3rd apperance (sort of) and ties into the pilot as well. Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 04:39, July 22, 2012 (UTC)

Well, it is pretty hard to notice him. Also, he is not exactly a religious figure. He is just very well known in Ooo. --ShrubSkyKim 17:39, July 23, 2012 (UTC)

New error trivia

  • Finn and Grob Gob Glob Grob were both able to make noises in space, however this is impossible.
    • In addition, Finn was breathing in space when he was being transported to Mars.

None of us know how the Mars transporter works, so claiming some error based on a perception of how it works is speculative. Someone already removed this stating that there was a shield, but it was added back saying "what proof do you have that it's not light." Irony.

  • Grob Gob Glob Grob was shown to quickly be able to travel from Mars to Earth, so they could have went there to get water during the period of time where Magic Man turned all the water on Mars into hair.

None of us know how difficult it is to use the Mars transporter or what the cost of its use is. Water transportation is not an easy thing. This can't be called an error when it could be easily explained away.

  • Finn blamed Jake's death on the King of Mars even though it was technically his fault, and the King of Mars agreed that he made a mistake.

Plot holes can be (and have been) explained by the creators; they do not belong in the "Errors" section. That section is for things that are undeniable mistakes, such as animation errors. Personally, I don't even see it as a plot hole; it seems like a perfectly reasonable course of events. Finn's best friend died, so he lashes out and blames other people. King of Mars is wise and benevolent and accepts responsibility for his actions. Even if Finn caused the immediate event of Jake's death, King of Mars still mistook Jake for Magic Man and condemned him to death. (I was willing to leave this in regular trivia since it's open to interpretation, but it is definitely not an error) Lailoken (Talk) 23:04, September 30, 2012 (UTC)

How do you know the creators actually thought into how the transporter works? It would have been explained if they did. Grob Gob Glob Grod didn't use the transporter to travel from Mars to earth, so I don't know why you are talking about using the Martian transporters to get water from earth... now for that thing about Finn blaming Jake's death on the King of Mars, a I had a conversation about it somewhere on the wiki. I said that Finn could have told them to stop putting him on trial since he had quite enough time to stop it (well, that thing about him having enough time is being added right now) instead of throwing a chair at Grob Gob Glob Grod, so it is indeed an error/plot hole. -- Jake getting pulled on by candy kids special poseSkyFinn with brain outline special model 23:22, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
>How do you know the creators actually thought into how the transporter works? It would have been explained if they did.
Lol things getting explained in AT. Rest of it is more and more speculation. How did he had enough time? It took him a while just to get inside and was able to get to Jake just about as he was going to get executed. And how it's an error? It's just a different plot solution. Seriously, this wiki consist of opinions instead of facts. Kasumisty (talk) 23:25, September 30, 2012 (UTC)Kasumisty
Yes, things being explained in Adventure Time. Are you saying that something as simple as that can't be explained? And that plot holes can exist and the only excuse for it is the show being weird enough for it to make sense? Sounds like a joke I made up about the show once. You didn't even tell why those other trivia bits are opinions and speculation. -- Jake getting pulled on by candy kids special poseSkyFinn with brain outline special model 23:38, September 30, 2012 (UTC)
I never said the creators thought about how the transporter worked. I simply said that we (including you) don't know how it works, so you can't make up your own interpretation of how it works and then claim errors based on that. Maybe it's a shield filled with air, maybe it's just light, maybe it's oxygenated unicorn blood. Speculation.
You're right, I did assume that Glob used the transporter because the pink aura around he and Finn looks the same. However, it doesn't affect my point; You claimed it's easy to travel between Mars and Earth, but you don't know that. You also don't know how hard it would be to transport water using whatever method they use. Again, you're making claims based on your own assumptions and calling them errors.
Just because you think the story could have gone differently or a character didn't behave the way you think they should have doesn't make it an error. I honestly don't even think it's a plot-hole, but I don't care enough to argue that. However, as I said, plot-holes don't belong in the Errors section since they can be explained away. An example being that Jake once said he would probably die if he ate chocolate. Several people pointed out that in later episodes he eats chocolate and doesn't die, but on Formspring the creators just respond by emphasizing the word "probably." So, yes, it was a plot-hole, but it's not an error. Lailoken (Talk) 00:33, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
Pink aura
Yeah, we can't make up our own interpretations if there is not really any thought put into it... no more can be said about it.
Grob Gob Glob Grod had some pink emitting off of them when they left Ooo. The aura was caused by their own ability to rocket at high speeds. You can see the light at the bottom of them (even around them) as they leave the planet. ...I might be besides the point right now. Actually, I think it kind of proves that the beam from the transporter is simply light? Hm, looks like more was able to be said about that after all.
Anyway, we don't know how hard it is to travel to each planet? Didn't we see Grob Gob Glob Grod visiting earth in the middle of doing so and see Finn go straight from Ooo to Mars? We saw that and just how easy it is. If the martians are an advanced civilization, wouldn't Grob Gob Glob Grod be able to easily get water by uses their devices? Hm, that does seem a little speculative, but they would be able to get water anyway. I do not think Jake's death being blamed on the King of Mars is a plot hole just because things could have went differently, by the way. -- Jake getting pulled on by candy kids special poseSkyFinn with brain outline special model 01:15, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
I noticed the rocket when I re-checked the episode, which is why I said you were right, but it is beside the point. The point is that the transporter and whatever method Glob uses are unknown, fictional technologies and you can't claim errors based on your assumptions. If the creators explicitly explained how it worked and it was scientifically unsound, then I would have no issue here, but there was no explanation, so anything said about it is speculation.
I do not want to argue whether or not it is a plot-hole; whatever it is, it's not an error. Your argument is not based on real-world facts, but events in a work of fiction that is currently still being written. Lailoken (Talk) 02:07, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
Didn't I end up explaining why the color emitting from Grob Gob Glob Grod was actually important? And the technology about this is still being written? How do you know? Wait, can't we write something like "Finn and Grob Gob Glob Grob were both able to make noises in space, however this is impossible. It is unknown if the beam from the transporter somehow made this possible." But... sigh, that still doesn't explain how Grob Gob Glob Grod and the device made noises...
I know you don't want to argue about that being a plot hole. I was only saying that because you had the wrong idea about what I was saying. -- Jake getting pulled on by candy kids special poseSkyFinn with brain outline special model 02:38, October 1, 2012 (UTC)
"The aura was caused by their own ability to rocket at high speeds." This is also speculation, so it does not explain why the color is important.
