Fridge- I don't see why Jake let Marceline get so hungry and out of control, couldn't he and Finn have let her drink a little of their blood to tide her over until they found something else? Nymphonomicon (talk) 00:06, October 15, 2013 (UTC)

sandworms[]
I would add to the wiki that the sandworm is a reference to the sandworms of the classic of classics of science fiction literature, Dune.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Cmdalbem (talk • contribs)

Minecraft reference[]
Okay, feel free to take this down.
I really REALLY believe there is a Minecraft reference in this episode. First is the fact of the gem itself. It appears to be a Red Ruby at first, but its actually a Green Emerald.
In Minecraft, Rubies were intended to be in the game but was changed to Emeralds.
Dinnerbone, who is in fact part of Mojang staff and who works on Minecraft, has stated that they changed Rubies to Emeralds at the last minute because he is Colour blind, like Finn. And that he couldn't tell the difference between the Rubies and Redstone ore unless he looked at it real close-up.
And here is the link to his post. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1621716-15-new-blocksitems/#entry19977082
I really to believe its a reference in there. Waterfront3000 (talk) 21:25, November 25, 2013 (UTC)
- Eh, it doesn't seem that direct in the episode. I personally saw it as a sense of irony to add to the episode, and Finn's condition actually is a real life condition, so I don't know. Maybe if staff were to hint at the fact they knew about Minecraft, we could consider it for the page, but it just doesn't seem that likely. Heeeeeeeeeeeere's JOHNNY !!! 21:50, November 25, 2013 (UTC)
- lol I saw the coincidence too but think it is just coincidence... Color Blind[]
I don't think Finn is color blind. He was in the red light for so long it may have 'stained his vision'. It was a very bright light and Finn was following it for a long time, being exposed to only it.
You can see that everything is flushed red while following Finn.
DrJammings (talk) 04:15, March 20, 2014 (UTC)
- Some supporting evidence for this: In "Evicted!" Marceline says, "I eat shades of red" and sucks the red from a strawberry. Finn, watching this, merely says "Golly" instead of objecting that it is green. —BellamyBug (talk|tribs) 14:06, March 20, 2014 (UTC)
- But his colorblindness does not change his perception of red colors (as far as we know). Finn's colorblindness causes him to to see green objects as grey-ish. Under normal circumstances the emerald would have probably appeared grey, however his vision probably was stained by the red light as DrJammings noted, but its still perceived as red. The green was being perceived as grey with some stained red causing Finn to believe it was a grey-ish ruby.
