Well known mutants

Just about every character in Ooo is a mutant, even Finn? felinoel ~ (Talk) 18:48, May 21, 2011 (UTC)

Nah, not Finn. Just basically everyone else. Bankaibuddy15 18:49, May 21, 2011 (UTC)Bankaibuddy15
No Pen said that was why Finn's eyes are so beady? felinoel ~ (Talk) 20:26, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
What? When did he say that? Bankaibuddy15 20:33, May 21, 2011 (UTC)Bankaibuddy15
A while ago? Not sure of the exact date but this doesn't matter even if he wasn't a mutant, everyone (possibly excluding Finn) is a mutant so why are those few the only ones listed? felinoel ~ (Talk) 20:49, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
I dunno man. I think Mutants is a relatively new page, so it hasn't been expanded much. In time there'll be more content though. Bankaibuddy15 20:51, May 21, 2011 (UTC)Bankaibuddy15
No I am saying there should be less content, particularly the misleading content, how are Candy People only probably mutants? felinoel ~ (Talk) 20:53, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Oh. To tell you the truth, I don't think this page should exist anyway. Everything in the Land of Ooo besides Finn is a mutant, so it's a little redundant in a way. So yeah, want to put it up for deletion, or do you think that we could keep it with a little organization? Bankaibuddy15 20:59, May 21, 2011 (UTC)Bankaibuddy15
I think it should exist for the extremely mutated people like Princess Princess Princess. felinoel ~ (Talk) 21:01, May 21, 2011 (UTC)
Do you guys really think The Lich counts as a mutant? The undead characters (like Marceline, for example) are just dead. I don't believe that makes them mutants but I'm not sure. What do you guys think? May 22, 2011 CandyMonster
Frankly this page shouldn't exist in the first place. It's just clutter like 100 other article and categories on this wiki, but yeah, you're right. They're dead, not mutants. Bankaibuddy15 01:48, May 23, 2011 (UTC)Bankaibuddy15

OK guys, I'd be happy to delete this page if there's a consensus about it. The problem is, the show never clearly states who is a mutant, and yeah, almost every character in the show could be one, but we just don't know. --Cornprone 02:38, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

The page was up for deletion before and I posted that we should keep it for the extremely mutated people like Princess Princess Princess and then someone took off the deletion tag so I don't know? Though the Lich being undead just makes him even more of a mutant, undeadedness is definitely a mutation? felinoel ~ (Talk) 04:38, May 23, 2011 (UTC)

Being undead doesn't make you a mutant. It makes you a reanimated corpse that is in the process of rotting. Lastly, undeadness is not a mutation. If it was, all of the undead characters (skeletons, vampires and ghosts) would be mutants. But I do think this page should be for the extremely mutated characters.

In real life mythology I agree with you, but this is Adventure Time biology, and the whole plot of the show is on the concept that a war that caused in the removal of a fifth of the planet Earth left enough radiation to mutate humans, animals, electronics, and whatnot into the people of Ooo "today" which includes the undead, it also explains magic.
But yay, two votes for keeping this article on the basis it is rewritten for those who are heavily mutated! felinoel ~ (Talk) 19:23, May 23, 2011 (UTC)
This article is going too far downhill, I change my vote to delete. felinoel ~ (Talk) 15:00, March 19, 2012 (UTC)
I vote to delete it as well. It's silly to claim that certain species are mutants when it is equally valid that any non-real creature from the show could be as well. Way too broad to be considered a species. Flame Prince Finn 10:33, April 14, 2012 (UTC)
Pretty sure Pen said everyone is mutated. Could you reword that sentence? ShinxfelinoelScraft 19:35, April 14, 2012 (UTC)

I notice that Princess Bubblegum is on this notable list. Why is she a mutant and not a humanoid as, for example, Prince Gumball? -- Glenn L (talk) 09:06, November 3, 2012 (UTC)

I think I've seen that some people on this wiki have a weird definition of the word "humanoid," but most of the mutants on this page are humanoid. "Mutant" is kind of misused as well, but it's also misused by the show's creators, so there's not much to do about that. Lailoken (Talk) 16:15, November 3, 2012 (UTC)~
True, I saw one guy mark every bipedal person as humanoid once, that was a mess to clean up. 15:17, November 13, 2012 (UTC)

Delete Delete — Yes, PLEASE delete this page, and move PB to the "Humanoid" category if that's possible. -- Glenn L (talk) 18:43, November 14, 2012 (UTC) -

This is not the place to vote. 18:45, November 14, 2012 (UTC)

Do we really need so many pictures of candy people in the gallery? Honestly, I think the group shot would be enough. --Sparda494 20:06, February 8, 2012 (UTC)

I agree, though once they get removed they will be put right back in. felinoel ~ (Talk) 14:59, March 19, 2012 (UTC)

Candy people are created, not born.

Candy people should be "artificial life" instead of "mutated humanoids/animals", right?--Teslashark (talk) 21:37, September 13, 2015 (UTC)

While we don't know if candy people are able to physically make children or not, it IS true that they aren't technically mutants. But... Bonni associates herself as one of the candy people and she IS a mutant so...? 05:02, September 29, 2015 (UTC)
