Candidate for Deletion?

This page should not exist, as it is simply speculation as to the nature of the word "glob". Eye of Sol 23:35, November 15, 2011 (UTC) "Memoria est Infinitas"

I'm on the fence about deleting this. I could almost see it as a mentioned character, after last night's episode, where "glob" is mentioned twice, and not by LSP. But all we know is that it's something that people might worship, so we don't really know if it's a character. --Cornprone 00:33, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
If kept, it should switch to Glob (term) or (slang), and revised to be a bit less "it totally means god", since God isn't a name, it is a noun. See FormSpring: Andy Ristaino's comment about it. A speculation section can be created to at least balance the page. -- Bunai82 (talk) 02:09, November 16, 2011 (UTC)
Well, maybe it should just be taken down for now until viable proof can be found that Glob means God in every sense of the word. Eye of Sol 02:14, November 16, 2011 (UTC) "Memoria est Infinitas"

Grob Gob Glob Grod

So, apparently Glob is real. Read the fourth question on page 2 of the Forbes interview with Pen: "In an upcoming episode, a four headed deity named Grob Gob Glob Grod, rockets down to Ooo from Mars." --Cornprone 21:58, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Heheh, okay, that shut me up :D Eye of Sol 23:48, November 16, 2011 (UTC) "Memoria est Infinitas"

I don't think the transformation Jake made in the episode "The New Frontier" (as seen in the character template) is what Grob Gob Glob Grod looks like. I think he was trying to represent is Earth-consciousness going all over the place. Should the image be removed from the character template for now? We have no idea what Grob Gob Glob Grod looks like. Sky Monster 05:38, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

I disagree, the article needs an image, as long as we caption it better then it should be fine, maybe something along the lines of, "Potential representation of Glob" or something like that. ShinxfelinoelScraft 13:54, March 20, 2012 (UTC)
Or maybe, "Speculative Representation of Grob" ShinxfelinoelScraft 20:45, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
If you look at the page history, you would see that Cornprone agreed that it is Jake trying to represent his Earth-consciousness going all over the place. Plus, I think it would be considered speculation. Sky Monster 20:49, March 31, 2012 (UTC)
Yes but such an important article as the deity of Ooo needs some picture, how about just Earth-consciousness going all over the place as the caption then? lol ShinxfelinoelScraft 16:00, April 2, 2012 (UTC)
Maybe. Wouldn't it be better if that picture went on the Glob World page? Sky Monster 22:46, April 6, 2012 (UTC)
I guess, especially since Grob is supposed to come down from Mars soon, though I didn't check the source and it may have been a joke... ShinxfelinoelScraft 13:31, April 9, 2012 (UTC)

Is Glob God?

Am I the only one interesting on the fact that the two words sound similar and are used in the same context? Besides, we already know that since the Mushroom War some names have been changed and mispronunciated.Afliador8 17:03, April 21, 2012 (UTC)

It says that it is a deity, which is essentially a god. But, it came from Mars, so it is unlikely that it is the Christian God. SaberSworn 17:06, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
Remember the last part of what I wrote. Information has changed since the Mushroom War. Afliador8 17:22, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
What do you mean that deities are essentially a god? Also ƒelinoel (Talk) 45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 14:39, May 3, 2012 (UTC)

Trivia on Appearance

You know... deep in my gut I saw this coming. However, I am noticing that Grob Gob Glob Grod looks strikingly similar to a Final Fantasy IV summon called Asura, which is a goddess in the franchise. Both have four heads/faces that rotate to be the main face (Judging from the animatic). In turn, the Final Fantasy Asura is direct reference to the Buddhist God also known as Asura herewhich also has subtle hints to the Hindu equivalent as well. I am noting this here in the talk pages to discuss a possible trivia for this character and perhaps the episode when it airs. Thoughts? Opinions? Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 19:52, July 21, 2012 (UTC)

So since the model sheet has arrived... I noted his name is Gob / Glob / Grod / Grob... Kind of unusual... Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 17:04, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

This name also appears on Frederator as well. 17:40, July 24, 2012 (UTC)

There have been multiple instances of characters having said gob, grod, and grob in additon to ppl saying glob. SO i wasn't surprised by the naming, since they(?) have 4 names they're called that are similar. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetyrantx (talkcontribs)

I think GGGG should be refered to as "they" instead of "he" in the article.--King Chubzhac, Boss of YOU (talk) 16:59, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Only when it is about all of them, if it is about Grod in particular then I say go with he. ƒelinoel (Talk) 45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 17:03, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Jesse Moynihan said GGGG isn't a deity.

--King Chubzhac, Boss of YOU (talk) 18:01, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Read my edit summary about this... plus, Pen himself confirms it is a deity. --ShrubSkyKim 18:09, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
Pen said that he is like a deity, just like how Abe is like Jesus. ƒelinoel (Talk) 45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 18:41, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Episode Appearances

I was reading that section and noted that it has nothing to do with appearances; rather, it is talking about him being mentioned throughout Ooo. I think the section should be reamed... but I am not sure what. Suggestions? —Preceding unsigned comment added by True Sephiroth (talkcontribs)

Yike, can't believe I forgot to do that! Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 16:53, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Something on the page should mention that people of Ooo are constantly referencing them, though listing every single instance seems tiresome. Lailoken (Talk) 21:37, September 17, 2012 (UTC)
Looking at the section now, the paragraph is pretty long and hard to read. I think bullet points may be more effective.

I imagine Grob Gob Glob Grod saying, "Galahoslos". ZanyDragon (talk) 23:05, January 13, 2013 (UTC)

Organizing first section

Gonna organize 1 Episodes where they're mentioned as a character into a list form, if that's cool.

If you ever see something wrong, fix it. ƒelinoel (Talk) 45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 12:50, March 12, 2013 (UTC)

Name per face

If we have distinguished specific voice actors for each of the 4 beings, then we should be able to match up each of those beings' names (via their credited voice actor) with each of their faces. We would do this by figuring out which actor is talking while each face's voice is moving.

By doing so, we should prevent a 4-part (perhaps 2 x 2) gallery showing each of the faces and their name affixed to it.

I know the faces all look pretty much the same but there could be minor enough differences. Even if it's a temporary facial expression, it gives us something to go on.

I would suggest a "Xname while saying "Yphrase" type description. +Yc 06:17, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

But... their faces all look the same and there isn't minor enough details? ƒelinoel (Talk) 45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 12:33, July 10, 2013 (UTC)
