It never even crossed my mind that they could be different people. They are quite obviously the same, things were just modified such as drawing styles, voicing and name to be more suitable for an actual series as opposed to the pitch which the origional short was. All other aspects of Finn/Pen are the same (if not slightly modified), such as clothing, personality and for example-his relationship with peebles. --- So Spice 00:26, April 19, 2012.

Move Suggestion

Since Finn's last name is Ward, shouldn't we move the oage to Finn Ward as his full name? I understand that Finn the Human is a title and can't be the article's name, but what about last names? I disagree. Finn has never been called by his full name on the show. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the only reason we think his last name is Ward is because of one line in "When Wedding Bells Thaw", right? In it, Ice King says "Maybe this is... is this Ward's --" and then he gets cut off by the door hitting him. But he's mumbling, and it's hard to tell what he was actually saying. And he wasn't even sure it was the right address. So unless there's other proof from official sources, I think the whole "Ward" last name should be considered an Easter Egg and not official. --Cornprone 00:09, September 5, 2010 (UTC)

As well as not being confirmed information, the Manual of Style states that you are supposed to refer to a character as they are most commonly known for page titles, such as:

For older cartoons like "Chowder" or "The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack", the characters' ages stay the same. Adventure Time does not go through this process. C.H Greenblat and Thurop Van Orman (respectively creators of Chowder and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) has not yet confirmed Pendleton Ward about this until they contact each other. Chowder and Flapjack are new cartoons, but that is beside the point. Some cartoons find themselves to be more of a drama TV show and like to show the characters aging to show they are growing in mind as well as body. Avatar: The Last Airbender did this, though they had hair growth mostly, but the point was still made.

Older Finn?

I have recently been sifting through various tumblr accounts that are dedicated to various adventure time content, and in a couple of them, there appears to be a picture of PB, Beemo, Jake, possibly LSP, and a taller, perhaps older Finn, all of whom are dressed in opera-like attire. The picture has been stated to be an OFFICIAL, leaked storyboard image of some future episode. can somebody please tell me the validity of these claims? Allergic to snakes?

In the triva section, it says that finn might be allergic to snakes, but i think this is highly unlikely. It says he shows allergies in Donny, Rainyday day dream, but that it was a countinuity error that he COULD touch snakes in the eyes. He does not make any mention about snakes in donny, the snakes were poisoness in rainyday day dream, and he could touch the snakes in the eyes because he is NOT allergic to snakes.

Susan Strong in the Relationships section?

I think that we ought to consider putting information pertaining to Susan Strong and her connection with Finn under the appropriate section, seeing that she has officially appeared twice on the show (so far), both times as a major character, which makes her a much more significant character than most, if not practically all other, minor characters on the show.

Finn's shorts

I don't think his shorts are made of denim as the Finn page reads. In the episode "Donny" (season 1-11A), Jake says "You are not an outsider, you wear cute little blue shorts" which seems to mean they are simply shorts that are blue-colored, maybe like a pair of Dickie's. I know this doesn't explicitly rule out that they could be denim, but it just seems like they aren't by Jake's wording.

Denim shorts can be cute and blue while still remaining denim.

It's been confirmed that she will play a role equivalent to a truck falling down a hill in season 4. So it's safe to say she'll appear again. Plus, she's Finn's crush.

I don't Finn's relationship with the Flame Princess is much of a relationship at all - its just a "crush" - his relationship with Beemo is more important than this infatuation. The section itself is not about the love interests of Finn, but more about his closest friends, such as LSP. As it is, the wording in the section is a summary of the two episodes and non-descriptive of that the relationship really is. Finn's Birthdate

I was curious what happened to Finn's B-date being on March 14th. It was removed due to not being relevant to our calendar. Despite this, I feel that his birthdate should be included on the page.

Pendleton Ward even confirmed that it was indeed his birthdate now. Even Adam Muto acknowledged the day and said the show will not line up with the birthday since the premier will be in April.

Just because there is no episode with his birthday does not mean that he does not have a birthdate. Also, consider that the show does not need to be directly in line with our time date to date... this is seen especially with the season 3 finale to the season 4 premier. It isn't relevant to our calendar because a fifth of the planet is missing, at the very least the length of a year has changed. At least that is one reason.

A chunk of the planet missing wouldn't necessarily affect the length of a year, science whyzard. A year is based on how long it takes the earth to rotate around the sun.

Which is affected by the Earth's distance from the Sun, which is affected by the gravity between the two, which is affected by their masses. The Earth's mass would be much lower with a fifth of the planet missing, so it actually would affect the length of a year. --

I created an account finally to try to add something to Finn's page, but found it locked. I'll just suggest it on the talk page.

Miscellaneous Abilities: In A New Frontier Finn creates fire by rubbing his hands together then blowing on them.

Also, I know it's a bit silly - but maybe this is a hint at Finn becoming a "Flame Prince"

Spitting in "Burning Low"

So my edit about Finn being able to spit water high into the air was reverted because

First of all, I don't see how the information is "not important". Isn't that subjective? I can deem the entire Abilities section "not important". If the information is relative why does that matter? If it's an example (a very good example, mind you) of Finn's spitting abilities then why is "importance" an issue? What does "important" mean, anyway? Second of all, suddenly, we're not allowed to add information from an episode that hasn't aired yet? Why does that matter of a sudden? All the episodes have been storyboarded and approved; the footage is out; the proof is there; it's an official source. Why add more needless requirements? Finn's Japanese Voice

Finn doesn't forgive PB (Or it is Unknown)

A probably unimportant question from a new person :)

People were adding "Finn (boyfriend)" and "Flame Princess (girlfriend)" to the Relatives section on the character templates. Myself and other people were removing it because boyfriend/girlfriend does not count as a relative. Both pages have information about Finn and Flame Princess' relationship in their Relationships sections as well as a Trivia item stating that they are currently dating. Should Stormo be noted under "Relatives" as Finn's son? Finn directly called Stormo his son, and Stormo has Finn's DNA.50.47.238.72 03:22, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

Stormo isn't Finn's son, though I'm not sure why he shouldn't be a relative. He's not "family," but his DNA was used to create Stormo. In a sense Stormo is more related to Finn than his adoptive family is. Lailoken (Talk) 06:54, August 19, 2012 (UTC)

Kasumisty is correct. Every March (in the original airing of AT eps) Finn ages another year, so he should turn 15 toward the end of Season 5. This is because the actor who voices Finn is likewise a teen. Most of the other characters do not have to age because they are voiced by adults. That's why Princess Bubblegum is still 18, for example (in addition to her age being a function of how much biomass she has).

Note: I'm not so sure about Flame Princess, however. She was Finn's age when they met, but is she growing up as well? -- Glenn L (talk) 04:11, October 15, 2012 (UTC)

No, PB's voice actor is easily capable of aging her voice and why wouldn't she were that to be important? If they age one character, then they're also aging everyone else who can possibly age, and PB does not seem to age, not to mention her voice wouldn't change much anyway would it?

Theories do not belong on this wiki in general, but to put your mind at rest, the war occurred roughly 1000 years ago, so radiation and radiation poisoning aren't really concerns. Any mutations in the population of Ooo have probably been around for centuries. Also, if any human were irradiated enough to actually cause radiation poisoning in other humans, that person would be dead in short order. Lailoken (Talk) 09:09, October 7, 2012 (UTC)

No I agree, Pen definitely did say that the dots for eyes were from radiation, when I brought this up with the artists after seeing the new episodes that actually had other humans in it, the artists blamed it on miscommunication and not knowing this wasn't just a part of human design. 16:43, October 9, 2012 (UTC)
