Wouldn't calling this the Dark Magician be copyright infringement? Maybe I'm wrong about it. I'm not well-versed in the way copyright works. Near-sighted Jedi 01:16, July 17, 2011 (UTC)

This type of discussion belongs in the forums. Please keep talk page posts to about only improving the article itself. Also, in order for it to be copyright infringement, the name used has to be copyrited. felinoel ~ (Talk) 05:57, September 6, 2011 (UTC)
First of all, Jedi's question is relevant to the accuracy of the article, so I think it very much belongs on this page. Secondly, the name "Dark Magician" is in fact a trademark of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise. I'm not positive that it's registered, but if it is - and the Adventure Time creators had actually named their character as such - then yes, it would be copyright infringement. It's a bit of a moot point however, as the character is not actually named "Dark Magician," he is listed in the credits as Evil Guy. Why he is named differently in this article is beyond me, but it should probabably be changed. Yoruichi's Paramour 18:09, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
This one, I don't have an answer to... some of these names are simply specualtive... but no... he is not copied off of Yu-gi-oh... but they have a lot of things in the series that references media... I just checked the episode and you arer right. Changing now Sephy LTrue SephirothSephy R 18:17, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
