Son?

The article says he's the "son" of PB his not-so-proud "mother". Can we really call him a son? Is that how Candy People relationships work? Is there canon for this, because I think "creator" would be a better phrase.LuckyDay 17:39, June 3, 2012 (UTC)

Thanks to the episode Goliad its clear you need DNA (like Bubblegum's tooth or a strand Finn's hair) in order to become "like a son". I am not aware that Bubblegum did that for Lemongrad so I am going to change the wording.LuckyDay 16:58, June 6, 2012 (UTC)

Appearance

On the chart thingie below the main page image, why doesn't it say "Latest appearance" forYou Made Me! ? I tried to fix it but it won't let me.

Polish name

Should we add his name in Polish language? In polish version Lemongrab's title and name is Hrabia Cytryndor which means Count Lemon. The ending "-dor" in word "cytryna" gives nobility to the character and it's showing his royal blood. 93.159.142.50 20:00, January 3, 2013 (UTC)wonszu

Link Between Lemongrab and Autism

Anyone who has experience with people who have an autism spectrum disorder, will recognize the similarities between Lemongrab's personality, and that of someone with autism in general. He's socially awkward, unable to understand the feelings of others, and highly opinionated. He has a high degree of intelligence, but occasionally fails to understand what people are talking about. His reactions - especially to being touched, or spoken to in the wrong tone of voice, - are often far more extreme than they need to be. He has incredible memory, and shows obssessive-compulsive tendencies. Finally, though he wishes he could interact with others better, he's more comfortable alone; or, at least, in situations that he can completely control. When we take into consideration the fact that Lemongrab was partially inspired by someone with autism, the connection is too clear to ignore.

Some of his traits resemble autism in a very superficial manner, but I don't know anyone on the spectrum who is ANYTHING like him. He's really just mentally unstable and obnoxious. His traits fit psychosis and sociopathy as well as they do autism (and as much as they could possibly fit any real human, Lemongrab is Lemongrab), and the main reason people associate him with autism is not due to the actual traits of the disorder, but the narrative surrounding it. There is some other aspects that suggest Lemon People in general might act as a metaphor for autism, but it doesn't realistically resemble autism to any degree, and Lemongrab himself has other psychological problems that have nothing to do with ability or quirks. Cipollino reference?

Has anyone else noticed any similarities to Prince Lemon character from Cipollino by Gianni Rodari? Look - both are lemon-like, both have yelling skills, and both are fond of throwing people into jail for nothing ("Son, the prison's full of innocent people"). I think it's intentional. He's the EARL of Lemongrab, a place, and he's extremely authoritarian, so it checks out. Just because they changed it doesn't mean they couldn't have made a different pun.
