Why would plants in Ooo follow current rules of sentience? This argument doesn't make sense. [[User:TheIntendant|TheIntendant]] ([[User talk:TheIntendant|talk]]) 00:27, May 24, 2020 (UTC)

This episode isn't even out yet and a bunch of anonymous users keep putting in unnecessary plots and synopses.

Plants do have stress, as any other living being. Any change on plants when facing harsh environment is due to stress and it's perfectly logic that someone who knows about plans can detect easily when plants are suffering - smaller size than expected, absorbtion of contaminants, presence of pests and germs.

Plants don't feel fear as they don't have anything like a brain cortex, so that's correct. But plants have senses difficult to understand for non-trained humans - they detect where the sun comes from, they detect when spring starts, they can touch and grow around a post and more. So it's plausible for someone with extransensory perception to empathize somehow with them.
