The pterodactyl is a pterosaur that flies Finn and Jake to their Tree Fort at the beginning of the episode "Play Date." It merely screeches, but according to the episode's storyboard, it was originally meant to talk.[1] The creature shown is actually called a pteranodon.
Trivia
- "Pterodactyl" is a popular misnomer used for all pterosaurs.
- Pterodactyl may be related to the flying pterosaurs that appear in "Evergreen."
