Papa Wolf is a wolf that appears in "The Monster." Lumpy Space Princess explains to Finn and Jake that Papa Wolf and Mama Wolf found her and adopted her. The wolf family treats Lumpy Space Princess as a pack member until she slaps one of them. As a pack of wolves, Papa Wolf appears to be the leader. None of the wolves talk (though Lumpy Space Princess can apparently understand their body language, and created voices for them) so the difference in significance from one to the other is rather small.
