"Obsidian" is the second hour-long episode that is part of Adventure Time: Distant Lands.

Synopsis

Marceline and Princess Bubblegum journey to the imposing, beautiful Glass Kingdom, and deep into their tumultuous past, to prevent an earthshaking catastrophe.^[1]

Olivia Olson feels Princess Bubblegum and Marceline had to talk about their relationship and see how it would move forward, which will be discussed in the special "Obsidian".^[2]
Adam Muto says the title "Obsidian" is a metaphor, as it is the most powerful fusion, and also has to do in the Glass Kingdom. What they want is to focus on Princess Bubblegum and Marceline's relationship.^[2]
Marceline's songwriting will change according to her emotions.^[2]
All songs were composed before the special.^[2]
There will be a new character, who will have amped-up Finn elements.^[2]
One character will be "Glassboy" because nothing better was thought of later. Glassboy will be played by Michaela Dietz.^[2]
