Malus is a being depicted on a page within a book that Simon Petrikov was reading while researching GOLB.
Appearance[]
Malus has a very unique and detailed design. They have a rooster for a head, a shirtless-muscular-human body, a shield in one hand and a whip in the other, a Greek warrior dress around his waist, a cape draped over one of his shoulders, serpentine bodies for legs, and canine heads for feet.
Trivia[]
- Malus greatly resembles a being found in Gnostic texts called Abraxas.
- In the episode "Bespoken For," Ancient Sleeping Magi of Life Giving has a note by his phone with the name "Abraxis" on it, accompanied by a phone number and date for Monday 8 pm.
- Below Malus is a snake creating the infinity symbol.
- The snake biting the end of its tail could be an homage to Ouroboros.
- In the middle of each loop appears to be shape similar to the portal featured below the image.
- On the bottom of Malus' page is a portal with a white hand coming out of it. The portal appears to be similar to the one which GOLB appeared out of in the episode "Come Along With Me."
- Malus is the scientific name for apples.
