"Let Me Call You Sweetheart" is song written by Beth Slater Whitson and featured in the Elements mini-series episodes "Hero Heart" and "Skyhooks II." Princess Bubblegum sang this when she transformed the attacking Fire element into Candy. The newly transformed characters sing this in unison with Princess Bubblegum conducting as they close in on Finn. The opening of "Skyhooks II" briefly features sections of the song.
Lyrics (As sung by Bonnibel)[]
Let me call you sweetheart I'm in love with you Let me hear you whisper That you love me, too |
Keep the love-light glowing In your eyes so true Let me call you sweetheart I'm in love with you |
Original Let Me Call You Sweetheart Lyrics[]
I am dreaming Dear of you, day by day Dreaming when the skies are blue, When they're gray When the silv'ry moonlight gleams, Still I wander on in dreams In a land of love, it seems, Just with you |
Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you Let me hear you whisper that you love me too Keep the love-light glowing in your eyes so true Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you |
Longing for you all the while, More and more; Longing for the sunny smile, I adore Birds are singing far and near, Roses blooming ev'rywhere You, alone, my heart can cheer; You, just you |
Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you Let me hear you whisper that you love me too Keep the love-light glowing in your eyes so true Let me call you "Sweetheart," I'm in love with you |

- The song is translated into French in the French version of the episode. In order to fit the rhythm of the song, the translation does not use exactly the same words of the original song. The words of the French version are:
"Tu es mon grand chéri, je t'aime tellement. Murmure-moi à l'oreille que tu m'aimes autant, |
que ton amour est vrai comme un coeur d'enfant. Tu es mon grand chéri, je t'aime tellement". |
Which could be translated as:
"You are my darling, I love you so much. Whisper in my ear that you love me as much [as I do], |
that your love is true like a child's heart. You are my darling, I love you so much." |
