Magic Man (also known as Mysterious Man) is a character who is the main antagonist of the episode Freak City. He poses as a homeless man to travelers, begging for food. If they give it to him under the presumption that he is in fact a magical man that will reward them; he "grants them a gift" by turning them into mutated freaks, usually resembling body parts. He is a gaudy and jolly soul, but this does little to hide that he is an admitted jerk. He winds up cursing Finn into becoming a giant foot, but he overcomes his depression in the end and helps the other freaks he's cursed to beat him up. He eggs on the freaks to riddle out what deep lesson he wishes to teach them with his spells as he does battle with them, Finn thinking it was a message on teamwork, confidence, or charity. In the end, the lesson is that the Magic Man is a jerk, and he turns them back after they realize this. He teleports away in the end to find more suckers to transform into freaks. He is voiced by Tom Kenny, also the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants on the show of the same name.
Appearance
Magic Man has green skin and wears brightly-colored, tattered yellow clothes and a matching yellow wizard hat. He also wears mismatching boots, with one boot being purple and the other boot being red. While disguised as a beggar, he covers himself with a tattered brown blanket that hides his features.
Abilities
Magic Man has a number of magical powers, including the ability to transform people into body parts, teleport, throw energy bolts and magic confetti, turn birds inside out, and create portals. He can create fireworks that spell out the words "EAT IT"
