"Shoot. Did I just copy Finn and Jake?" This character is from another universe. They are living or lived in a different timeline somewhere in the multiverse. |
Hana Abadeer is the gender-swapped version of Hunson Abadeer, and Marshall Lee's Biological mother in the alternate reality of Fionna-world. She was first seen in her human form in "The Star", though she had been mentioned as early as "Fionna Campbell".
Physical Appearance[]
Ms. Abadeer is a tall, slender woman with dark brown skin and straight, black hair worn in a bun. She shares many design elements with Hunson Abadeer: a dark purple suit, red cowboy boots, high cheekbones, a widow's peak, and jerky, peculiar movement. She also wears a necklace that resembles the head of Hunson's demon form.
Personality[]
Initially she seems to be a kind and charismatic woman, in addition to calling her son affectionately. However, she later shows her true colors by exposing Marshall in front of everyone saying that he is ashamed of her "embarrassing dreams", showing herself to be a controlling and unempathetic mother. She also doesn't seem to care about her tenants, as she ignores her requests for lower rents out of hand.
Relationships[]
Marshall Lee[]
The relationship between Ms. Abadeer and her son is very similar to that of their opposite-gender counterparts. She wants Marshall to carry on the family business, much like how Hunson did with Marceline. However, Marshall Lee wants to be a musician instead, and at some point before the events of Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, he cut contact with her and moved out. She views his musical pursuits as "embarrassing mistakes," similar to how Hunson berated Marceline for turning the family axe into "some kind of lute."
It is unknown what sort of relationship she had with Marshal Lee's father.
Trivia[]
- Hana Abadeer and Marceline's mom are both voiced by Erica Luttrell.
- Her first name is never said aloud in the show; it only appears in the credits.
- When Marshall introduces her to Gary at the beginning of the Gala, she calls him "Gravy".
- Inside Queenie's tourbus, there's an ad for Ms. Abadeer's vacuum company. This is a reference to how Hunson's main power is sucking away souls.
