I was watching 'I Remember You' when I saw this picture of Simon holding a strange book.

Simon

It looks similar to the Enchiridion that belonged to Finn.

Since he was an archaeologist it makes sense that he could have found that. ƒelinoel (Talk) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/17/Wikia_Logo.svg/45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 18:39, October 16, 2012 (UTC)

Currently i do more wonder about Chapter10 of the book about the Cyclops, does the Land of Ooo (and the Cyclops) exist before the Mushroom war? or was this chapter added later? --hanmac (talk) 20:16, October 17, 2012 (UTC)

Yes,that is the Enchiridion. This is what I think:Long ago during the Middle Ages, the Earth was similar to the Land of Ooo.The Echiridion was written to help heroes survive. As humans evolved, the magic slowly faded away. After the Mushroom War,the magic returned to the world and transformed it into the Land of Ooo.This would explain why some creatures in Ooo like dragons or goblins appear in mythology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Omegahydra (talkcontribs)

What Omeg said is basically what Pen said about his show years ago. ƒelinoel (Talk) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/17/Wikia_Logo.svg/45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 17:59, October 19, 2012 (UTC)

Since Simon found the Enchirdion in an archeological site before the Great Mushroom War, then it is a very old book indeed. I can see why the Lich would be after it. Before we assumed it was created after the Great Mushroom War, but now we know otherwise. This means that the book could contain magic and secrets not ever seen in Ooo. Secrets that belong to the Old old world. Image what power it could lead to. - Alchemical (talk) 06:21, October 20, 2012 (UTC)

It is the Enchiridion, which is totally plausible because he was a professor of archaeology, and his job was to find artifacts like that. The Ice Crown was found in Scandinavia, and Simon was based in Europe, so its also possible that the Enchiridion was found in Europe, possibly also in Scandinavia, because they used to value heroes and warriors there (think Vikings). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.228.204.51 (talkcontribs)

Wait what? Who said he was a professor of archaeology? I thought he was an antiquarian? ƒelinoel (Talk) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/17/Wikia_Logo.svg/45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 14:15, October 23, 2012 (UTC)

i dont think simons profession was ever specified. as far as im aware. the enchiridion was a real book, greek if i recall correctly.

id like to also mention what i just posted in the "the lich (episode)" thread. and that in the picture where simon is holding the enchiridion he looks normal and hasnt begun to transform into the ice king yet. so that would lead me to believe it is becuase of the enchiridion he subsequently searched out the crown.DekuScrub21 (talk) 16:05, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

No, am pretty sure that in the Holly Jolly episode he said he was an antiquarian. ƒelinoel (Talk) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/17/Wikia_Logo.svg/45px-Wikia_Logo.svg.png 18:28, October 24, 2012 (UTC)

could it be that simon/ice king started the war or the search for power or its stability of the world? 180.194.243.190 13:02, October 25, 2012 (UTC)raimi
