I'm so jazzed about Huntress Wizard finally taking a major role in an episode, and finally getting an official voice actress (Jenny Slate). She's long been one of the more interesting background characters in the series, and I've even done some doodly fan art of her because I dig her look so much. I don't know if they'll actually do anything with the implied possibility of romance between her and Finn, and I could honestly take it or leave it, but I'm still happy about this development. Hopefully we see more HW in the future.

I'm glad she had a day in the limelight as she has always been a character I wanted to know more of, but I felt that the "romantic" elements were an attempt to make Tumblr's shipping hordes happy :/ --AzureKesil (talk) 19:37, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
You're probably right, though I will say that I did just find a really interesting video by a YouTuber named "Uncivilized Elk" (look it up if you're interested) arguing that the romantic elements of this episode were foreshadowed in "Crossover". Usually I would ignore that sort of conjecture, but there are a few things that make me kind of believe him:
1) He says he came up with this theory before "Flute Spell" even aired, and was surprised to see his prediction come true.
2) The two episodes were written/storyboarded by the same team (Jesse Moynihan and Sam Alden).
3) If the song reference he bases his theory on isn't intentional, it's a really odd and random reference to shoehorn into the episode.
4) Jesse Moynihan apparently follows this guy's channel, and he has yet to comment to disagree (or, admittedly, to agree).
Something to think about, at least.

I am personally glad that she returned and is in (I think) a relationship with Finn. Guess being soft ain't so bad when you find the right Flute Spell. Icequeen NinjaWarrior (talk) 13:05, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
