I don't Finn should ever date FP, I know Pen Ward WANTS Fubblegum, but alas, CN won't allow a 18+ female to date a 13 year old. So FP is the only option. Bye-Bye Finneceline, Bye-Bye Fubblegum!! :( I'm so MAD!!!!! How about you?

- I'm more of a Mubblegum man myself. That will never happen though, you're right. Nobody is going to allow any homosexual relationship on Cartoon Network. Anyway, there's always fan fiction for Fubblegum/Mubblegum/Finneceline. I'm not a huge fan of Flame Princess, but I can see why they felt the need to add her to the series. - Agree with NexCanifex, but assuming FinnxF.P. is inevitable I have some thoughts. Finn will need some way to resist flames other than going to Flambo every time he wants to see her. He could obtain a magical artifact, either from Choose Goose or Ice King. If from Ice King Finn might be required to do a favor he really doesn't like. If from Choose Goose the price could be very high. Either way the artifact may have a limited number of uses in some time frame (say per month). This would justify them not hanging out together all the time. Overuse could have some bad consequence necessitating some adventure/quest to repair. At some point Finn may be forced to choose between becoming a fire elemental permanently and staying the hero of Ooo. Actually it makes sense for Finn to have a girlfriend (if any) that he cant' hang out with all the time although Lady R. doesn't seem to get in the way of Jake's adventuring. I just realized that Fubbblegum is over. Sure, they'll acknowledge it with a sad smile and a sigh, but won't follow through. But don't you dare blame Princess Bubbblegum like I did. What would you do if you were 18 and a 13 year old wouldn't give up? You would probably just ignore it, then start getting devasted as your 13 year old friend goes off the deep end. Then, just to stop their pain, you would indirectly tell them to stop trying. You'd hope they would get over it. And Finn did. But that doesn't stop us from grieving. Oh glob, why am I crying so hard?! Finn will be happy with Flame Princess, ok?! But if we're pointing fingers here, it's Cartoon Networks 's fault for caring about what parents would think. If PB and Finn ever had a chance it was when they were both kids, as soon as she grew up all that was over. In fact I think she said "That part is over." As for Marcellen (spellcheck) they had that episode of Finn going to the movies with her and during that episode I think It was made pretty clear that those two are just friends and fellow adventurers. I am neutral here. I still like PB and FP and Marcy as a ship with Finn (with the acception of Fionna)[]
I kinda like Flinn. I dont care if that isnt the ship name. I think its cute. I mean, yes, I do love Fubblegum and Farceline, but Farceline never happened, and CN is stupid for Fubblegum not being allowed. I think its cute that Finn cares so much about FP, and will risk pain as long as he does not harm her. I also ship Marcy and PB so THE PATH IS OPEN. Another possible ship I do is Fionna and Finn. Cause theyre both human and adventurers, and it makes sense. I dont ship cake and jake cause what would become of their pups/kittens, since Cake dates LM and Jake dates LR. Flinn is cute, and if they get broken up and finn dates PB, ill be happy, but if they break up, and he doesn't. I will be mad considering its still cute and Finn would be rejected again. I have never really understood the "shipping" phenomina but I can tell from the direction the show is taking that Flame Princess is intended to be Finn's main romantic interest. I never saw hints of anything more than a sort of "crush on the teacher" sort of dynamic between Finn and PB. PB obviously cares about Finn but it's always been in an almost motherly sort of way while Finn on the other had a serious crush on her. The only exception to that was when they were both 13. It's the only time they ever acted like a fledgling couple. Where as Finn and Fire Princess have always acted the way you would expect a young couple who like each other to act.Melting Sky (talk) 08:46, February 19, 2013 (UTC)
Just to let you guys know:
Finn is now 14. And I don't like FP because she reminds me of my bipolar cousin. With that fact I can't appreciate the FP and Finn relationship. "Vault of Bones" was a cool episode, but I still was annoyed about FP being in it. I never understood all the hate for FP and Finn, I do understand that a lot of people wanted PB and Finn together... But if we were honest I think we can all agree that CN made the right decison in not letting that fly, because i really dont think id be a good idea to have children watching an 18 year old date a 14 year old, its kindof inaproprate, (Cannot spell right now) to have on a childrens show. Now i always personally thought i'd be creepy to me, even though I'm at an olders age, and i do really like FP's character and I think it will allow for some great episodes in the future.KnightPommegranite (talk) 03:04, February 28, 2013 (UTC)

I love how people say PB x Finn can't happen because it promotes pedophilia or something like that. I have another good reason why it can't happen. Are you ready for this? The reason PB x Finn can't happen is: PB does not romantically love Finn. The same is true of all other ships with Finn; Finn either doesn't like them, they don't like him, or both. FP x Finn is the only ship that could and does work because unlike the others they both love each other. 1-sided love a ship does not make. But all the little tugboats want to push this ship out of harbor and into open waters, not realizing that this ship is not sea worthy. Unlike this stealth ship that came out of no where and actually was meant to sail from the beginning.

You can say that the ralationship began in "Icendium", but I believe that this is on the part of the fact that CN does not want this relationship to happen, not on the part of the people who developped the show, hence the overexaggerating of Jake saying "She's too old for you", which I find is a way for the developers to get out of the "crap what do we do about that?" mindset and find a feasable character that would be approximately Finn's age. They created a new Princess as the solution after doing polls and finding what CN's target audience wanted to happen. (Theory) Since so many people are pyros they chose Flame Princess. What an easy solution for them.
No this not true that the relationship "actually was meant to sail from the beginning" because the lead up in "Wizard Battle" where Finn obtained a Kiss from Pb showed that Pb admired that interest about her in him and how Jake told Finn the steps on how to getting to the princess's heart, could have led Finn and Pb down a different route . At this point Pb could have started having deeper feelings for Finn.
I also heard that the writers of the show had set up Finn and Pb eating spaghetti together on a date, but CN rejected it and it never happened (well it did in a weird way in that "To Cut a Princess's Hair" episode).
In my opinion, Fp and Finn's relationship is and was an easy fix that didn't take too long think about. This makes me dissapointed in the show. I guess I shouldn't care so much about it, but that's what I believe. ThatGuySittingInTheCornerOverThere (talk) 08:43, March 2, 2013 (UTC)
I feel sorry for Fubblegum and Finnceline fans. But, I support Finname & Bubbline. I realize all the hate for Flame Princess, and I don't get why you should hate her. You can support Fubblegum/Finnceline and still like FP! Instead of hating her for the ship thing, why not like her as her character?
