Do you have any sources? Cookinggumgum O.o.O.o.O 03:25, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, this is the kind of thing where we're unlikely to get confirmation from a reliable source. So even though this is potentially information worth keeping, we have no idea whether it's true or not. --Cornprone 03:33, October 4, 2011 (UTC)

Should we consider this fan fiction? Adventure Time hehe name taken? 12:15, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

As an Australian, I can confirm that these changes were made. However, the stuff at the start about it being to conform to Australian laws is pure misinformation. 124.148.213.157 05:13, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Skepticism

Some of these censorships don't really make sense. Like in "Her Parents," why would the scene where Ethel mentioning Lady and Jake dating be cut? On the Cartoon Network Australia website, the character profiles include that they are dating eachother. This also means that censoring Princess Bubblegum saying she used to date someone is highly unlikely. Cutting out the scene of Mrs.Cow's Phil Face udder is just silly. There's nothing innappropiate about that. And really... censoring "sucks"? I'm not sure if all(or any) of these are legit. Cookinggumgum O.o.O.o.O 19:56, October 5, 2011 (UTC)

Well, I told User:Jerryjackson42 that we could keep this page, because I believed he was sincere. Unfortunately, we also can't independently verify it, unless anybody knows somebody in Australia, or we can find Australian versions of the videos online. The videos on the CN Australia website are not viewable by me, because they're locked out from viewers in other regions. So I don't know what to do, but video proof of at least one of these episodes would be nice. --Cornprone 00:43, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
Well, of course the 'veril' bit from "What Have You Done?" was going to be cut clear out of the sky! 175.39.0.217 12:00, November 26, 2011 (UTC)

Look, man, I think it is ridiculous myself. I don't see why exactly that Australia has decided to cut out all of these particular scenes, but it is true, and I'm sorry that I can't seem to find proof. Adventure Time is just one of those new shows that has many things Cartoon Network Australia censors don't favour. It's just going to be the same thing with Regular Show that going to be airing on the 6th! Who knows, maybe The Problem Solverz will get hit with censorship when it comes to CNA. All I do know for sure is that there are censors on Adventure Time, and I guess it won't be accepted until you have proof. Good luck finding it, but for now, ciao. When Fascism comes to the Land of Ooo, it will be wrapped in an Australian Flag, carrying a Hot Cross Bun covered in Vegemite.

The proof will be revealed when someone at 4chan /co/ uploads screenshots of the show being altered visually. The Australian government seems to use George Orwell's 1984 as a handbook (something NO free democracy should be doing!). For instance, the filtering of Internet content. These are things that back home in the United States should not be tolerated! (On a related note, help stop this silliness. Visit AmericanCensorship.org and contact your elected officials to stop the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and Protect Intellectual Property Act (PIPA) from shutting down sites like the Adventure Time Wiki!) The Aussies are still freaking out as to the amount of *cough*"Rule 34" content there is on the Internet as well as women who aren't according to the Australian Government Censors "well-endowed enough" for them to consider women. (True story about that. It's sexist and wrong!) There's a whole list of things wrong with how Australia is doing this stupid censorship thing considering most of the real truly illegal Internet activity that still goes on even when the offenders aren't using software like Tor to cover their tracks. (Things that can't be mentioned on this wiki they are that horrible!)

Never the less, Adventure Time fans Down Under should not tolerate the abridged versions of this show. As much as some parents would like to think that Cartoon Network is a network for children (which for the most part it is during the day), it is really a network devoted to animation. The past few years, I'm glad that someone at CN and Turner has realized that and that if Mom and Dad are looking for their kids to live in the Walled Garden, they should either set the TV rating settings to below TV-PG levels such that they can't even let their kids watch the brainless mush that is now on Nickelodeon and Disney. (Thank Glob that Cartoon Network doesn't have anyone like iCarly or Hanna Montana to make parent's lives miserable when they watch TV with their kids...yet.) --MrHacks 02:19, December 3, 2011 (UTC)

Thoughts from an Australian

Just had a quick look at the list, seems like the kind of stuff TV stations would do to fit in more commercials.

That being said, I'll record a bunch of episodes when they come on air and compare them to a TVRip from America or something... then we'll have final confirmation on whether CN Australia cuts out stuff for whatever reason. Fieldafar 08:54, January 30, 2012 (UTC)

I have personally seen the episode where the Ice King kisses Jakes' butt and it skips the scene jarringly but they talk about it as if it just happened. Regular Show is also censored my brother tells me, he's watched the US version and the AU version. 123.2.121.197 03:12, January 31, 2012 (UTC)
