Here's an interesting theory I've come up with that I haven't seen anyone else discuss. The Fionna and Cake episode is a fan-fic written by Simon Petrikov (Ice King), but that isn't to say that it couldn't have been based on actual events. If this is something that has happened or could be happening in another area of Ooo, then that gives us many possibilities. I think it would be an interesting direction for the writers to take the story if Betty was the Ice Queen. This would be a perfect parallel to the Ice King's story and would be an excellent way for the characters to be dramatically linked. Of course, we won't know the truth until the next gender swap episode comes out so this is just pure speculation. Please leave comments on this idea.

I have wondered this myself. Perhaps Betty was a antiquitarian or simply put on the crown that her fiance, Simon found in the fanfiction. The third other likely (and obvious) option is that the Ice Queen is a female version of Simon and there was a male version of Betty. I think it would be the best option.Adventure Time would have a hard time otherwise trying to get Betty and Simon together.I mean she thinks he is crazy and/or hates her. I wouldn't want to be around him if I were in Betty's shoes.

I've actually given this more thought and might do a fan fiction based on this idea. The one thing I thought of was to actually have an alternate universe where Simon brought back a tiara instead of a crown, leading to Betty going insane instead of Simon. Other changes would have to contribute to the Gender Bent universe, such as an alternate version of the Abadeer family as I can't think of anyway to link Marshal Lee's existence to the Alternate Petrikov story.

Okay,here's my fanfic/theory.Betty is actually trapped in the ice at the base of Ice King's castle.Marcy is heading over for book club at Ice King's,along with the Princesses(like they were in [Bad Little Boy(episode)])and has brought her axe-bass for a little jam sesh. She suddenly drops it and it lands wedged in one of the lower walls of the castle.She successfully manages to get it out,but sees something in the ice. Marceline smudges the fog off the surface of the ice to reveal...Betty trapped inside!She goes to find PB to see if she can revive Betty and after smashing through the ice,and reanimating her,Betty starts to ask where her"darling Simon" is.Marcy knows who she's talking about and takes her to the Ice Kingdom right away...To be continued.Yeah sorry guys but it's still a work in progress.76.221.100.131 21:13, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
