Fortnite is a free-to-play video game and game platform developed and published by Epic Games. The game initially launched July 27 2017 as a paid experience known as Save The World, a third-person zombie survival shooter. Later that year, on September 26th, Epic added a free Battle Royale gamemode. Since then, Epic has added several more free gamemodes and has collaborated with many IPs.

On April 12th 2025, during Chapter 6 Season 2, Finn, Jake, Princess Bubblegum and Marceline were added to the game as Outfits, sold for 1,500 V-Bucks each, along with other cosmetics. A second wave of the collab featuring The Ice King and his drum set has been rumoured to come in the future.[1]

Trivia[]

  • To promote the collaboration, various shorts recreating scenes and title cards from the show were made. The Fortnite social media team recreated the following scenes in the game: the opening title sequence[2], the ultimate high five from "Five Short Graybles"[3] and the title cards for "Henchman", "Hitman"[4] and "Thanks for the Crabapples, Giuseppe!"[5] It's also worth mentioning that the version of the Hitman title card used in the recreation video has normal colours, whereas the version used in the show has a nightvision filter over it.
  • The BMO Game Time emote features the Snail next to the tree stump the player sits on. The game being played on BMO is a 2D version of Fortnite. The LEGO version of this emote displays a 2D version of LEGO Fortnite Odyessy instead.[6]
  • The Jake Chute glider is taken from "In Your Footsteps".[7]
  • The Jake Car emote and its noises are taken from "Candy Streets".
  • The Jake Bug Dance emote is taken from "Is That You?".
  • The Peppermint Axe harvesting tool is taken from "Susan Strong".
  • The Marceline's Parasol harvesting tool is taken from "Henchman".
