Fionna-world is an alternate reality where nearly everyone is gender-swapped. Originally, taking place in an alternate version of the Land of Ooo known as the Land of Aaa; the entire reality and the characters there were initially believed to be merely be made up in Ice King's fan fictions.
In the Adventure Time sequel series, Fionna & Cake, it was revealed that they and their reality were real all along, created by Prismo who became interested in making his own rather than ones based on others wishes. He hid this reality in Ice King's mind since creating universes for himself was not allowed. However, when Ice King was cured and turned back into Simon, Fionna-world lost its magic properties too, turning everyone into non-magic beings like humans living in a city known as Mid-Town, and erasing the memories of their former lives.
As stated by Prismo himself, this universe was somewhat special and was located outside of the multiverse, not being officially connected with others. However, thanks to the efforts of Fionna, Cake, and Simon, this universe becomes canonized and connected to the other universes in the multiverse. The original inhabitants chose to keep the universe the way it is, having come to accept the non-magic life they live rather than potentially losing their memories again. Even so, Fionna-world still becomes partially magical again with beings from other universes coming to reside there.
History[]
In the original series, many fan-fiction stories were written about the inhabitants of this reality by the Ice King, although one story was told by Marceline and another story was written by Lumpy Space Princess.
In the episode "Fionna and Cake and Fionna", a stranger claiming to be Fionna shows up at Ice King's book reading and states that his story is wrong and shows him video tapes of "her" adventures with Cake. Later, after Ice King discovers that she is not Fionna, she says that Fionna and Cake are not real and they are just characters in a TV show from the past. However, a red beam of Fionna and Cake enters Ice King's head as he is sleeping.
In the sequel series Fionna & Cake, it is revealed that Fionna, Cake, and everyone else in their universe are actually real, but their universe is non-magical. After the former Ice King, Simon Petrikov, performs a ritual to summon Betty/GOLB, which accidentally brings Fionna and Cake to Ooo, Prismo beams the three of them to his Time Room and scolds Simon for causing Fionna and Cake to crossover into Ooo. Prismo reveals to Fionna and Cake that he created their universe, which was identical to Ooo except nearly everyone was gender-swapped. He realized that he copied Finn and Jake's reality but he leaned into it and enjoyed creating their stories. He had Fionna and Cake go on adventures, have friends and added in romance.
He adds that, since he is not allowed to create alternate realities for himself, he hid their universe in Simon's mind through the aforementioned red beam back when he was the Ice King. When the Ice King reverted back into Simon, he lost his magic so their universe lost its magic as well, and Prismo was locked out thus no longer able to edit the universe anymore. The notorious god-auditor known as the Scarab makes his way to the Time Room and Prismo reveals that if he finds out what he did, the Scarab will turn him in and his boss will drop the hammer.
This universe was later attacked by Scarab who sought to erase it from the inside out but he was halted by the actions of Fionna and Cake. During the confrontation, Fionna came to accept her world for the way it is now and it is soon added to the multiverse after Simon gave her a magical dandelion to battle the Scarab. This decision infuriated Scarab who chose to destroy it out of spite against Prismo but thanks to help from Fionna and Cake's friends from their multiversal travel, he was subsequently defeated and locked away. The world was restored by the inhabitants who now appreciated what they had. It also came to be inhabited by visitors of other universes and Cosmic Entities, who saw it as a second chance for a new life.
Known non-magical places[]
Despite the fact Fionna-world in its original form is just a spoof of the Land of Ooo with similar looking places, the non-magical version of this world is completely different, being influenced by Simon's psyche to have a pre-war 1990s city appearance and features several never-before-seen places.

Trivia[]
- Fionna and Cake were the only ones turned back to their original forms, courtesy of Prismo.
- They are the only ones to meet Prismo.
- They are the only to see their original world.
- Marshall Lee and Gary Prince are the only ones to be told of their old lives, due to Fionna and Cake.
- Now that Prismo has access to the world again, it is unknown if he will modify it in the future or keep it the same way.
- Though the world is largely gender-swapped, it is not one-to-one with the Land of Ooo. Several of the characters do not seem to be gender-swapped and are simply human versions of their prime counterparts. which include Magic Man, Hot Dog Princess, several Banana Guards, Starchy, Lemonhope, Bee Princess, Wildberry Princess, Eberhardt, the Demon Guard and Soul Sucked Fuzzy Friend.
- Strangely both Starchy and Magic Man have been depicted as females in iterations of the Fionna and Cake fan-fictions with a female Starchy in Ice King's fan-fiction, however these are simply stories based off Prismo's custom-made reality and are not actual glimpses of the universe.
