The drive-in theater appears in the episode "Go With Me," in which Finn, Jake, Marceline, Lady Rainicorn, and some of the Candy People attend the Couples Only Movie Night. The theater itself appears to be the remains of an old (possibly pre-war) drive-in. There is one large outdoor screen with the projection booth in the cab of a ruined semi-truck. There are various types of seating, most of which appear to be in the ruined cars still present at the theater.
It appears again in the episode "Dream of Love," when Tree Trunks and Mr. Pig ruin the movie with their public display of affection. This time, it was not Couples Only Movie Night, so affection was not allowed. A movie about a gingerbread man plays in this episode.
