The DNA-scanner wristband is a gadget from Up-Ton used for tracking living creatures at long distances. Astrid uses it in "Cake the Cat". She placed some of Cake's fur (obtained from Fionna) near the device, and it began to emit a blue laser pointing towards Cake's location.
