Cosmic Gauntlets are magical pieces of hand/lower forearm armor with suspected enchantments from space or
guantlet 1
even the Cosmic Owl, as the name suggests. In "Rainy Day Daydream", two cosmic gauntlets were seen in the tree fort's armory. Jake wanted Finn to take a gold gauntlet with an eye on the palm and a ruby on the arm, similar to the design of Billy's gauntlet, Finn quickly rejected the weapon when he spots a much larger, darker colored gauntlet with a skull on the arm. Finn did not realize however that an imaginary wall spontaneously created by Jake was in the way, distracting him from an oncoming imaginary angry troll. Eventually Finn and Jake retreated from the battle when Jake noticed the troll and his family were regrouping, so a small nuclear bomb (referred to as a missile by Finn) became the only piece of equipment Finn armed himself with. Star-like sparkles emanate from the fingers of the gauntlets, so it can be presumed that here is where the 'cosmic' energy and qualities of the gloves are stored. Interestingly, the gold gauntlet has six fingers including the thumb, while the dark gauntlet has a normal human number of five fingers, while the dark gauntlet is clearly built to be worn by enourmous folk, even so the six fingered gold gauntlet is still a rather big fit for Finn's arm with reference to a relatively normal sized Jake in the corner.
