Thoughts on the King of Ooo. I think that he is one of the best villain characters on the show. The show only has two types of villains: the kind like Martin, Hunson Abadeer, or the Lich where they were always just jerks. The other kind is like Magic Man and Ice King where being a jerk wasn't really their fault. The King of Ooo is the first that really isn't either of these. The King of Ooo gave a bit of his backstory in Stakes, and it makes you wonder what made him bad. Not that his character needs a redemption, but maybe an explanation.

He is quite a strange fellow. He also seems to be a bit of a perv, doesn't he? Like when he wants Marceline to tell the world that he enjoys wearing PB's clothing. That's really creepy actually. What was his backstory again? I think I missed it.
EDIT: Also, I just remembered Lemongrab. I think he's probably my favorite villain of the show, with his bizarre personality and tragic origins. Plus, Justin Roiland's amazing.

I love Lemongrab 💛! But I was definitely not a fan of the episode The Mountain. King of Ooo's backstory was only hinted at, where he stated he was very poor and dirty, so all the other little kids called him "Bubbles" because he never took a bath. Something like that. It's not necessarily a good reason for him to become bad, so I feel like he has a little more to his backstory. Something that made him obsessed with being loved.
I love King of Ooo. He's one of the funniest characters in the show (along with Magic Man) and I never saw him as a villain. I loved the few episodes where he ruled the Candy Kingdom. He's just kinda weird and that's what makes him great.
